Policy for Handling of Personal Details

1. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to ensure appropriate handling of personal details handled by and retained in this system and prevent accidents.

2. Scope of Information Collected

The following information shall be collected by this system as necessary for procedures such as applications.

Project details
Information on the research project, from the application to the results report
Researcher details
Details on the researcher(s) who will carry out the research via the application process on this system
Details of people in charge at research institution
Details on the administrative manager and administrative officer in charge of the research that will be conducted by the researcher(s) at the research institution.

3. Purpose of Use

Personal details shall be used for the purposes stipulated in Article 6-1 of the Cross-Ministerial Research and Development Management System (e-Rad) Terms of Service.

4. Compliance with Laws, Ordinances, etc.

Personal details shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57, May 30, 2003).

5. Safety Measures

Necessary measures such as technical measures and training shall be taken to prevent leakage, destruction and damage and otherwise appropriately manage collected information.

6. Revisions

This policy shall be revised as necessary.
