Application summary		本事業では、DIASを維持管理し、DIASの強みであるビッグデータ、リアルタイムデータ等を引き続き蓄積・整備、利用拡大を図るとともに、これまでの水課題（水災害）を中心とした成果・実績の更なる拡大・展開や、他の情報基盤等とも連携した防災・減災対策をはじめとした様々な分野における気候変動対策等の社会課題の解決に貢献する新たな研究開発・アプリケーション開発及びその社会実装等を行います。また、GEO（地球観測に関する政府間会合）やIPCC（気候変動に関する政府間パネル）等を通じた国際貢献、学術研究の推進等を行うことで、上記目的にある、国や地方自治体、企業等の意思決定に貢献する魅力ある情報基盤を提供します。 また、リモート下のデータ利活用を強化するための計算資源等の設備整備、利用拡大や人材育成等により、地球環境ビッグデータを利活用した気候変動、防災等の地球規模課題の解決に貢献する研究開発を推進するだけでなく、人文社会科学等を含めた様々な分野の専門家を巻き込んだ IT 人材と気候変動等が融合した新分野の開拓や、利用拡大に向けた広報活動等を行うとともに、データ利活用のリテラシーの向上に向けた取組を推進します。さらに、DIASサービスとして利用料徴取の体制を検討・整備していくこととします。
Application targets		文部科学省から補助金の交付ができる日本国内の研究機関が本公募の対象者となります。課題の応募は補助事業者の長が行うものとします。詳細は以下に示す国内の大学、研究機関、企業等とします。 <応募できる研究機関の例> ‧大学（学校教育法（昭和22年法律第26号）第１条に規定する大学をいう。） ‧高等専門学校（学校教育法（昭和22年法律第26号）第１条に規定する高等専門学校をいう。） ‧大学共同利用機関（国立大学法人法（平成15年法律第112号）第２条第４項に規定する大学共同利用機関をいう。） ‧国立研究開発法人 ‧国公立試験研究機関 ‧特例民法法人又は一般社団・財団法人若しくは公益社団・財団法人 ‧特定非営利活動促進法（平成10年法律第７号）第十条第一項の規定により認証を受けた特定非営利活動法人
