Application summary		国家戦略として、一人ひとりにおける治療精度を格段に向上させ、治療法のない患者に新たな治療を提供するといったがんや難病等の医療の発展や、個別化医療の推進などを目的として、全ゲノム解析等を推進するため、がんや難病領域の「全ゲノム解析等実行計画（第１版）」（以下実行計画）が2019年12月に策定されました。実行計画においては、５年相対生存率が低い難治性がん※１、および希少がん（小児がん含む）※２について、全ゲノム解析等を行うこととされています。 ※１.実行計画における難治性の定義は、５年生存率が全部位平均（62.1％）値より低いがん種とされています。実行計画では難治性のがんとして、2.3万症例（肺0.9万症例、食道0.2万症例、肝臓0.3万症例、胆膵0.2万症例、卵巣0.6万症例、白血病0.1万症例）が想定されています。 ※２.「希少」の目安は、毎年の病気の発生が人口10万人あたり6人未満とされています。 　本公募は、上記の背景を踏まえて、実行計画の一環として行います。難治性がん（食道がん等）のうち、生存が確認でき、連絡が可能な患者を優先して全ゲノム解析等を行い、その解析結果を「がん全ゲノム解析等における患者還元に関する研究班」と連携して患者に還元し、解析・データセンターの情報システム基盤構築に向けた、「がん全ゲノム解析等におけるゲノム解析・臨床応用に関する研究班」と連携して全ゲノム配列データおよび臨床情報等の収集と解析を行い、新規の治療法等の開発に向けた体制構築に資する研究を募集します。
